5:11 a.m. Nothing was taken after a window smash burglary attempt to a business in the La Mirada Theatre Center in the 15000 block of Rosecrans Av.
Tuesday, Feb. 19
7:19 p.m. Deputies took an intoxicated person unable to care for themselves into protective custody in the 14300 block of Valley View Av. The person was released after being deemed sober without being charged with a crime.
9:18 p.m. An arrest was made in the 14800 block of Borrego Dr. for aggravated assault after the victim reported being injured during a domestic violence incident.
Wednesday, Feb. 20
4:50 p.m. An assault related to a domestic violence incident was reported in the 11700 block of Scott Ave. in East Whittier.
Sunday, Feb. 24
2:15 p.m. An assault related to domestic violence was reported in the 13100 block of Marlette Dr.
Monday, Feb. 25
2:10 p.m. A man was arrested after assaulting a city Public Safety Officer at Gardenhill Park. The officer was allegedly attacked when he contacted the suspect about harassing children at the park.
Deputies from La Mirada and surrounding areas responded to the radio call for help and quickly established a perimeter around the area after learning the suspect had fled north onto Burgess Av before they could arrive.
A short time later the suspect was taken into custody after he was tracked to the flood control channel just south of Plantana Dr.
Tuesday, Feb. 26
4:51 a.m. A misdemeanor arrest was made in the 14700 block of Jacana Dr. for possession of a controlled substance.
2:21 p.m. A misdemeanor arrest was made inside the Lake Park MHP at Lake Forest Wy and Lake View Dr. for possession of a controlled substance.
6:50 p.m. A felony arrest was made for transport and possession for sales of a controlled substance at Firestone Blvd and Carpenter Way in Buena Park.
10:00 p.m. A break-in to a vehicle was reported in the 13300 block of Beach Blvd.
And from La Mirada Public Safety deputies are also preparing reports on the following crimes during the week ending Feb. 24:
Burglaries: 13400 block of Brazo Rd, Behringer Park, 15000 block of Imperial, 13900 block of Valley View Av, 14300 block of Valley View Av, and the 14200 block of Firestone Bl.
Vehicle break-ins: 14000 block of Estero Rd, and the 14900 block of La Mirada Bl.
And a vehicle theft from Fitzpatrick Cir in Hillsborough.
