Riverside- A La Mirada woman was one of four people killed Wednesday in a plane crash in Corona according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office. Two of the dead were from Whittier.
Paula Mitchell, 61, from La Mirada was a passenger in a single-engine plane that crashed and burst into flames after striking a fence as it was taking off from Corona Municipal Airport according to the Associated Press.
The pilot Danny Rodriguez, 70, a retired LAPD officer and his wife Teresa Rodriguez, 63, both of Whittier and a Torrance man were also killed in the crash.
